Acuity Knowledge Partners - Specialist - Data Analyst/Power BI

Role: Data Analyst (Power BI Specialist), Data Science Operations

As part of the Data Science practice, you will be working with leading financial institutions as a data modeler/visualization developer delivering smart business intelligence (BI) solutions. Key responsibilities include:

- Create visual outcomes which enable quick decision making with intuitive and self-servicing features

- Design, develop, and test Power BI scripts to import data from internal and external source systems

- Create and tune physical database objects (tables, views, indexes) to support logical and dimensional models

- Work directly with business units, build a strong understanding of the underlying business to develop BI tools that translate to actionable business-centric insights

- Proactively implement best practices across the group including quality improvement, code/architecture standards, code reusability, technical documentation, and technical design specifications etc.

- Effectively communicate with a capacity to present, discuss and explain issues coherently

- Contribute in development of advanced BI prototypes and proof-of-concept design

Work Experience

- 4-6 years of relevant experience in Power BI, data/BI modeling, SQL and reporting

- Extensive experience with Power BI, M and DAX functions is mandatory

Education :

- Master's in Statistics / Computer Applications / Technology, Bachelors in Engineering

- Professional certifications on visualization platforms such as Power BI and Tableau

Skills :

Essential :

- 4-6 years of relevant experience in Power BI, data/BI modeling, SQL and reporting

- Power BI (strong), SQL (strong), data warehousing (strong)

- Ability to write complex DAX functions, Power Query, Power Apps - Mandatory

- Strong in SQL database management and SQL querying

- Understanding of data warehousing concepts like Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Fact, Dimensions etc.

- Experience in building Power BI data models, reports using charts, slicers, pivots and custom visuals

- Communicate with confidence, B2B business support, exposure in working with global clients
