Job Responsibilities:
- Develop analytical models to perform portfolio analysis in order to assist in pricing\ underwriting decisions
- Develop complex actuarial pricing and valuation models
- Maintaining and expanding documentation of processes and methodology
- Identify key trends and drivers of portfolio and segment performance
- Analyze profitability and growth of various customer channels and segments
- Owns service delivery of multiple deliverables and deliver above SLA performance aligned with strategy, focusing on efficiency, productivity, insight & quality
- Coaches and drives team members to deliver a first class service
- Client/Customer management: proactive communication and effective expectation management
- Ensure strict adherence to quality and audit requirements including QC procedures
- Work collaboratively across multiple teams to meet requirements of the Management team offshore and onshore
- Liaise with onshore team to understand project specifications, develop solution and work plan
- Work experience required
Experience: Minimum 4-8 years of experience including analytical role in General Insurance (GI)
Technical Requirements
- Actuarial - having cleared 2-3 actuarial papers
- GI experience mandatory
- Advanced SAS skills mandatory
- Advanced Excel/VBA skills mandatory
- Experience in Emblem (Pricing software) preferred
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills
- Strong Communicator able to listen, understand and speak effectively
- Trainer level knowledge and understanding of insurance processes: can articulate the purpose and benefit of deliverables to peers and subordinates
- Strong understanding of delivering a service with customer focus: can instill sense of urgency in team members and inspire them to go the extra mile when required
