Roles & responsibilities
- Work on pensions actuarial audits related to companies that sponsor private and public sector occupational pension schemes reporting under IAS19 or equivalent, which typically includes the following areas :
- Review data, methodologies, assumptions, results and benchmark against market
- Reconcile IAS19 results from previous year and compare with clients' results
- Make proper commentary on the results/findings and prepare the summary report
- Discuss findings with other members of the pensions actuarial and audit engagement team, and agree on any follow up actions
- Interaction with client management on all of the above
- Work on the audits of pension schemes reports and accounts, which includes work on complex asset valuations (annuities, longevity swaps and asset backed funding arrangements) and member benefit testing .
- We also expect all team members to contribute to some of our technical research areas, which include: assumption setting, longevity, technical accounting, annuities, longevity swaps, asset backed funding arrangements and benefit testing.

Educational qualifications:
- Qualifications: Graduate/Post Graduate with a strong background in mathematics and statistics,
- Pursuing actuarial sciences from Institute of Actuaries (UK or India) and passed 1-4 exams already.
Work experience:
- 1-3 years of relevant actuarial experience
- Experience of providing actuarial services to UK defined benefit pension schemes is preferred, for example around IAS19 financial reporting, cash funding, de-risking and/or member
