Job Summary(General overview of the job):
- Responsible for various marketing activities for a brand, product, and/or channel.
- Defines and coordinates execution of market/ customer analysis implements marketing tactics around a product, channel, pricing, and promotions, and executes efforts identified on the marketing plan.
- Leads projects as well as initiatives to ensure the overall growth and branding strategy. Works under minimal supervision.
- Typically leads activities of moderate scope and complexity and develops solutions on product information operations, channel operations, sales productivity solutions, intranet operations, standard pricing, and maintenance, deviated pricing, bids, and quotes, business agreements, merchandising, price optimization and analytics, customer insights, within CRM platform(s) such as creating and exporting reports, reports management, importing leads, etc.
- Responsible for various CRM operations activities to service the end-users, managers, and/or channel.
Major Duties and Responsibilities(Job duties that occupy 5% or more of the incumbent's time and/or which are critical to the successful performance of the position:
1. Responsible for various marketing activities for a brand, product and/or channel. Provides input to management that may impact how financial resources are generated or spent. Conducts work independently. When necessary, the supervisor is consulted for assistance in problem areas.
2. Responsible for functional disciplines such as market research, channel/product marketing, digital, e-business/e-marketing, business/market development, branding, pricing, new product marketing, standard pricing and maintenance, deviated pricing, bids and quotes, business agreements, merchandising, price optimization and analytics etc. Implements timetables for workgroups or teams to ensure success.
3. Initiates actions to lead projects, beginning to link project steps to business strategies. Projects are usually short-term with specific results expected, and occasionally broadly defined results. Ensures project objectives and deadlines are met. Presents project recommendations to appropriate personnel that demonstrates sound planning in support of business needs and goals.
4. Applies analytical skills for analysis and interpretation of trends or data generated by a company reporting systems, statistical results, or other information collection systems.
5. Work tasks are likely to encompass concepts within multiple disciplines/practices which may include more than one department/location.
Working tasks might include:
a. Actively contributes to the development of marketing plans for assigned market/product areas, including collection, verification, analysis of data, and recommendation on programs.
b. Assists in the development and implementation of marketing research projects utilizing advanced quantitative and qualitative methods.
c. Uses data to accurately analyze market coverage and track channel performance. Coordinates the implementation and tracking of channel-specific programs or promotions.
d. Analyze customer database to identify opportunities and communicate them to sales representatives.
e. Coordinates with internal and external teams the execution of brand and/or product marketing programs or digital programs, including packaging design projects, promotion activities, digital marketing, CRM, pricing programs, and sales/demo materials.
f. Uses brand measures (awareness, familiarity, favorability, etc.) to assess the effectiveness of marketing activities.
g. Manages and approves demand planning forecast based on knowledge of the customer, marketing programs, and marketing trends to ensure the highest possible accuracy
