Role Name: Manager - Product
Location: Bangalore
Context
The Product Manager assumes a pivotal role in overseeing the strategic direction of our key customer-facing products, including the website, Customer App, Selfcare, and ACT NLP/AI Bot, alongside managing physical products like ACT StreamTV4k. This role involves driving business growth through these existing products and steering the development of future offerings.
This position is distinctive, encompassing both digital-only products and tangible items like StreamTV4k, with a keen focus on upcoming product launches. The selected candidate will lead and inspire a team dedicated to refining and advancing these products, presenting a unique opportunity to elevate ACT's product management to new heights. A hands-on approach, delving into intricate details, is expected from the candidate to ensure the success of this multifaceted role.
Key Responsibilities
Business:
1. Website is one of the biggest channels for inbound enquiries for ACT directly contributing to topline growth of ACT. The senior product manager will drive - " Building user experience for inbound inquiries with clarity on expectations for the customer hence driving higher traffic and conversions.
2. Customer App: Over 70% of ACT customer base is on customer app. Regularly engaging these customers, helps drive upgrades and add-on services, contributing directly to topline of ACT - " Focus on usage metrics and retention metrics - which is delivering value to the end customers in terms of add-ons and value upgrades and other benefits "
3. ACT Bot - ACT has internally built-up NLP bot and is working to build its AI enabled BOT. The chatbot, helps increase digital interaction for customers for service and other issues, thus, reducing the calls to call center, leading to direct savings and impact on bottom line.
4. Other consumer products: End to end ownership of product sales, partnerships, physical channel sales and working with teams to drive product growth.
Product:
- Product Strategy: Develop and execute the product strategy, aligning it with the overall business goals.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, IT, marketing, customer care, customer experience, sales, to drive product development for ACTs digital platforms and ensure seamless integration.
- Metrics and Analysis: Define and track key product performance metrics. Continuous product improvements that drive customer experience improvement enabling better adoption, usage, retention and ultimately product success.
- Drive structured product development method: Bring best practices and industry standards to drive product planning, documentation, experimentation, and release processes.
- Building product culture - which means building a culture of autonomy and accountability in the PMs who work in your vertical, defining the right problems to solve, how to track it effectively, building a culture of discovery in PMs, building a culture of empathy for the end user, building candor in the team.
- Focusing on building an agile product roadmap in sync with the product strategy such that actionable for partner teams become easy to understand and quantifiable.
- Leadership - which is the ability to lead and protect the team in times of crisis and give credit to the team in terms of success and teamwork.
Educational & Experience requirements:
- Master's degrees preferred. Bachelor's degree with relevant experience is also equally welcome.
- 4+ years of proven experience in product management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen understanding of user needs and market dynamics for digital platforms.
- Should have delivered not just product improvements, but clear delivery of business goals via product ownership.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Should have led teams with product managers.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully launching and managing products through their lifecycle.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies. Proficiency in analytics tool
- Proven ability to drive results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in analytics tools preferred
