Job Description:

Manager - Vendor management is responsible for managing daily vendor operations supporting service delivery function. This includes identification, onboarding, training, compliance, safety, fulfilment, and entire payment processing. This role expected to lead a team of 3-4 members to manage the entire operations cycle with utmost efficiency. This role also involves cross functional collaboration such as procurement, legal, finance and business teams to ensure smooth operations.

Job responsibilities:

1. Work Specification: Defining scope of work expected to be supported by vendors as part of service delivery business operations and coming up with potential pricing models of the same in collaboration with procurement team.

2. Identification: Identification of potential vendors who can help with the operations - advertising, references, past vendors, sub vendors of existing vendors etc and negotiating with them on terms of operations and pricing.

3. Onboarding: Get them onboarded in collaboration with legal team as per Act vendor onboarding checklist. Get individual vendors onboarding with appropriate documentation using vendor portal and EHS ID cards.

4. Training: Get vendors trained and safety and certify skill of each vendor internally in our system.

5. Daily Operational processes: Coordinate with vendor teams to ensure daily reporting happens on time, compliance is 100% on biometric attendance and productivity is delivered.

6. Planning and fulfilment: Plan and fulfil requirement of business teams with skilled vendor manpower in a consistent manner so business operations is not impacted.

7. Safety: Work with business teams to ensure full compliance of internal safety processes and ensure zero safety incidents at work and on road. Ensure availability of Safety Kits and voltage detectors to all vendors.

8. Budgeting and Cost Controls: Plan monthly budgets and optimize for cost of vendor services in collaboration with business finance team.

9. Invoicing and Payment processes: Work with vendors to ensure 100 % compliance on PO processes, Invoicing in a timely manner and payment approvals on a regular basis with full validation of work delivery along with attendance.

10. Compliance: Ensure compliance on statutory requirements such as Ekyc and ESI/PF compliance of vendors at any given point of time.

11. Vendor Pool: Manage a pool of vendors for each skill and ensure skill availability of vendors is always adequate for the business. Allocation of business to each vendor is to be done in such a manner that no vendor gets more than 15-20% of the overall work involved both in volume and value.

Location: Bangalore

Prior Work Experience: Relevant experience in managing vendors, procurement, vendor operations is preferable. Work experience involving operations is an added advantage. Telecom experience is valuable, though not mandatory.

Other Competencies: Language and presentation skills, articulation, analytical ability, Inclination to work with numbers is expected. Proficiency with excel spreadsheets, PPTs and word documents is mandatory.

Working days: 6 days working with second and fourth Saturday holiday. It is a work from office model.
