ACT Environment invests to catalyze climate impact at scale. The fund will support for-profit and not-for-profit organisations working towards market adoption and mainstreaming of market-tested innovations, with a measurable environmental benefit and an ability to be a force multiplier in the four areas of Air, Water, Waste and Land. The fund will measure success through the impact created by its investees, its ability to support investees in market adoption, leverage on capital, and the development of playbooks to scale or replicate models that deliver climate impact.
About the Role
We are looking to hire an exceptional Program Lead for the ACT Environment fund, to join a small team who will bring both fundraising capabilities and operational excellence across fund activities, special programs, volunteer management, communications and community development.
The Program Lead will work closely with fund anchors, fund managers, partners, donors and grantees. Responsibilities of the Program Lead will include ensuring smooth operations, strengthening community engagement, leading fundraising and donor support, and supporting grantees in establishing operational systems and processes. Operational responsibilities will include the fund, special projects and larger ACT platform.

Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to
Fund Management: Ensure smooth operation of the fund including planning, budgets, risk management, monitoring and evaluation, grantee onboarding, fund reporting, and fund calendar. Managing regular cadences associated with IC meetings. Supporting fund communications.
Operations Management: Design and supporting execution of special programs and initiatives, including the India Clean Air Challenge, Learning Labs and the Volunteer Program as well as special initiatives with other ACT verticals.
Fundraising & Donor management: Lead fundraising efforts and donor management including regular communication, reporting and engagement.
Community Engagement: Develop and lead initiatives to increase engagement of several stakeholder groups including donors, volunteers, portfolio company and the larger ecosystem. This includes managing communications cadence, events and other initiatives designed to increase network engagement
Grantee support: A key area of focus for this individual will be to support grantee organisations on a range of strategic, operational and especially technological areas. More specifically, this could include advisory, mentorship and connections across topics ranging from contextualizing products, identifying distribution channels, building monetization to scaling, acquisition, outcomes measurement and more.
Volunteer management: Manage a group of volunteers and ensure deliverables are met
Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
- 8+ years of work experience in product/ program/ project management in a challenging, high growth environment
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, organizational skills and operational capabilities
- Proven ability to raise funds and manage donor relationships
- Ability to foster community and develop a movement around shared or common goals
- Strong communication skills (including writing and presentation skills)
- Ability to build strong relationships and manage stakeholders internally and externally
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a small-organization setting, where collaboration, teamwork and resourcefulness are highly valued
- Prior experience in venture capital/entrepreneurship/Sustainability / Startup Accelerators a plus
