Role Name: Editor in Chief - ACT News

Location: Vijayawada/Nellore

Context

ACT News is one of the channels part of our network started two years back to bring in the best of news across domains to our subscribers in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Today, as we work towards becoming a leader in the video business our in-house channels have got an important role to play more than ever. As Editor-In Chief, incumbent is expected the channel in all the fronts, right from setting up the strategic objectives to vetting the news to managing the team. Incumbent will work towards improving the quality of content, production values, viewership among others.

Job Responsibilities:

- Overall responsibility for the editorial strategy of the ACT News Channel

- Work closely with the leadership team to devise the annual plan for the channel

- Provide roadmap to the teams on the various programs being telecasted

- Generate new ideas and encourage team to come up fresh ideas to improve the quality of the content and viewership

- Review and signoff on the content for the various programs

- Build and maintain relationships with journalists community

- Manage the team of journalists / editors

Educational & Experience requirements:

- 10 -18 years of experience with a track record/qualifications that demonstrates excellent language skills, and a passion for content and media.

- Must have proficiency in Telegu (Reading and Writing).
