Highlight of the engagement opportunity:

- Nature of role: Full time

- Number of years of experience expected: 0- 11+ years

- Areas of part experienced preferred: Consulting, Risk advisory services, Balance Sheet Management, Planning and Budgeting, Risk governance, internal controls, operational risk management, SOX reviews, compliance led reviews, regulatory reporting in the BFSI and/ or Consulting space, Compliance management, Third party risk management and GRC product development/ implementation, preferably in BFSI, CFO Advisory / Accounting Advisory / IFRS implementation / Product implementation / Hedge accounting

- Educational qualification expected: CA, ACCA, BBA, BAF, BBI, BFM, B. Com, CA or MBA in Finance

- Preferable additional certifications: Globally accepted certifications in Risk management / CFA /IFRS Diploma

- Preferred geography of previous work experience: India / Middle East / APAC / Europe / US

- Language requirements: Ability to write and speak fluently in English

- Technology proficiency preferred: SAP / GL systems / Python

Key responsibility areas:

Assist the team in executing BFSI and corporate client engagements with a focus on the following:

- Lead, and manage solution development in line with the business consulting outlook in the aforementioned subject matter areas

- Responsible for development of standard proposals, pitch decks in the subject matter area and engaging with the clients,

- Lead, manage and execute medium to large-scale accounting advisory projects with deep expertise

- Ability to write technical / supervisory memos / advisory documentation.

- Ability to analyses financial statement and suggest treatment for different financial assets / liabilities under different accounting standards

- Provide advisory services to the client on accounting areas such as IFRS 9, IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IFRS 17 or equivalent local standards

- Accounting treatment for different products as per the local regulatory requirements and accounting standards

- Advise clients on high-profile mandates in the financial services space with regards to complex and strategic issues

- Independently drive day-to-day execution of assigned client projects and internal initiatives

- Independently lead and continuously develop and mentor the team involved in the delivery of these projects

- Provide advisory and documentation to clients in financial services pertaining to process optimization and process improvements in line with their digital transformation requirements

- Undertake discussions with client business users to understand business requirements

- Assistance in documenting and performing UAT testing

- Design automation solutions related to business process optimization, data analytics and internal and regulatory reporting MIS in line with business requirements

- Serve banks and financial institutions by automating their business workflows

- Undertake project management services for ensuring smooth and timely closure on projects

- Drive the day-to-day execution of assigned projects.

Talent engagement opportunity:

- Work on no-code platforms such as MS Power Platform and Revolutio for designing automation applications

- Knowledge of banking set-up and various loan products and their characteristics including wholesale loans, auto loans, personal loans, mortgage finance, education loans, etc.

- Knowledge of Fund Transfer Pricing and associated pool wise profitability calculation

- Knowledge of budgeting methodologies adopted by financial services clients as part of strategic planning

- Knowledge of financial services capital planning and related regulatory requirements

- Undertake project management services for ensuring smooth and timely closure on projects.

- Evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, and controls

- Assist in the development of key risk and control indicators

- Review and development of risk ratings

- Assist in assessing risk, writing issues, and developing appropriate corrective actions

- Investigate root causes of operational risks and provide support to mitigate risk

- Evaluate changes in regulatory requirements and ensure clients business processes are enabled to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

- Identification of Operational Risk Incidents and Loss events in line with Basel requirements

- Review and perform detailed Root Cause Analysis of critical events/ losses

- Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations' effectiveness, financial reliability, and compliance with all applicable regulations

- Develop strong relationship with key stakeholders by addressing concerns in a timely manner

- Keep abreast of latest operational risk management techniques and industry best practices

- Requirement understanding and documentation of requirements related to the functional areas.

- Play a techno functional role in the product team

- Use our no-code platform to develop/ configure the business requirements

- Assist in the development of key risk and control indicators and define the methodologies

- Undertake discussions with client business users to understand business requirements

- Design automation solutions related to business ORM, third party management and compliance management in line with business requirements

- Serve banks and Insurance by understanding of BFSI industry, regulations and risk management standards

- Undertake project management services for ensuring smooth and timely closure on projects

- Drive the day-to-day execution of assigned projects.

- Identification of Operational Risk Incidents and Loss events in line with Basel requirements.

- Assistance in documenting the test cases and performing UAT testing

- Creating product development roadmaps, define new functionalities and envision product roadmap to meet emerging market requirements in the relevant areas.

- Knowledge of risk management services and related regulatory requirements

- Keep abreast of latest operational risk management techniques and industry best practices

- Develop strong relationship with key stakeholders by addressing concerns in a timely manner

- Comfortable with technologies and technology platform

- Knowledge of Ind AS / IFRS / US GAAP with working knowledge of differences between Indian GAAP and Ind AS

- Ability to write technical / supervisory memos / advisory documentation

- Ability to analyze financial statements and suggest treatment for different financial assets / liabilities under different accounting standards

- Knowledge of banking set-up and various loan product and their characteristics including wholesale loans, auto loans, personal loans, mortgage finance, education loans, etc

- Provide advisory services to clients on areas related to IFRS 9 including impairment modelling, PD and LGD modelling, hedge accounting and EIR based amortization

- Provide advisory services to clients on accounting areas related to IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IFRS 17 or equivalent local standards

- Accounting treatment for different products as per the local regulatory requirements and accounting standards

- Advise clients on high-profile mandates in the financial services space with regards to complex and strategic issues

Other important information:

- Work permit requirements: Either Indian Citizen or having valid work permit to work in India

- Period of engagement: Full-time position

- Probation period: 6 months

- Compensation: Compensation varies depending on the skill, fitment and role played by the person.

- Compensation discussions will take place post the selection process.

- Performance incentives: Typically, all roles at Acies have a performance incentive. Specific aspects will be discussed during the compensation discussion

- Leave: 22 working days a year. Additional leaves for national holidays, sick leaves, maternity and paternity, bereavement and studies vary based on the city and country of engagement.

Selection process:

We seek to be transparent during the selection process. While the actual process may vary from the process indicated below, the key steps involved are as follows:

- Interview: There are expected to be at least 3 rounds of interviews. The number of interview rounds may increase depending on the criticality and seniority of the role involved.

- Final discussion on career and compensation: Post final selection, a separate discussion will be set up to discuss compensation and career growth. You are encouraged to seek any clarifications you have during this discussion.
