Role: Manager Accounts and Taxation

Reports to: CFO

Location: Noida

Education: CA

Key responsibilities:

- All Accounting and Taxation matters in accordance with policies and guidelines including but not limited to managing and controlling Procurement to Pay and Record to report processes

- Statutory Compliances with all the Authorities including Taxes, Accounting norms and principles, Corporate compliance

- In-depth knowledge of the Direct and Indirect taxation including Excise, VAT, Service Tax Income Tax and customs

- Interface with Statutory authorities/Auditors/Tax consultants

- Coordinate the Quarterly closing in line with corporate calendar and Limited reviews with the Statutory Auditors

- Closure of Statutory Accounts

- Balance sheet items review and validation

- Comply with company rules with regard to accounting, taxation and banking transactions

- Institute the Internal controls and checks in line with the local statutory requirements

- Support the related Process Improvements drives/initiatives

Accountabilities: Essential job functions and responsibilities include the following, along with other functions that may be assigned when deemed necessary:

- Accounts Payable, Purchasing: Manage the PTP process from control standpoint including review and approval of Purchases and Bill Passing and accounting. Vendor Master Management and control of Payment process. Support the process improvement initiatives for PTP cycle and lead it to closure to drive operational excellence. Perform Interco Purchase and reconciliations

- General Accounting: Manage the complete accounting functions, management of Master data of GL accounts, Reconciliations and review of all GL accounts. Perform reconciliation of all GL and SL accounts with GL. Booking Import bills and make Import remittance

- Inventory Accounting: Review and Manage Inventory relating accounting and the reconciliations to the GL

- External and Internal Audits: Act as a key team member and co ordinate for External Auditors including statutory Audit, Limited reviews in line with the listing requirements as per SEBI guidelines, audit scope definition, and follow up and resolution of issues raised during the audit

- Taxation: Drive operational excellence in improving the Tax structure for the business. Taxes inter alia would include Income Tax Excise Tax; service Tax, VAT, Customs, and Works Contract Tax as applicable. Drive Corporate compliance requirements across the organization and ensure that the process are documented and communicated in a timely manner

- Compliance to Direct & indirect taxes like service tax, Excise and VAT in All states - working knowledge required

- Coordination with sales tax, service tax and other related tax consultants of various states. Timely completion of Vat audits as applicable of various states

- Ensuring timely monthly tax payments and return fling of the said states

- Timely arrangement of F Forms, C forms and other forms for vendors as applicable for the said states

- Working out advance tax details and ensuring payments within due dates

- Responsible for timely deduction, payment and timely return filing of TDS, PF, PT, timely return filing

- Supporting in getting various tax assessments done through team and consultants

- Fixed Assets Accounting – Manage the Master for new assets purchases and depreciations processes including FA Register and reconciliations of GL to Sub ledger

- Banking – Process Bank receipts and Payments and control through regular Bank Reconciliations and review, Bank reconciliations

- Balance Sheet Reviews – Support in the conduct of Quarterly balance sheet reviews of the entity, ensure compliance with policies, follow up and resolve issues identified and identify and spread best practices

- Close co-ordination with Auditors&Consultant on matters associated with deliverables

- Mentoring and coaching team members in upgrading their skill sets

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

- Relevant work experience of 8 to 10 years

- Exposure of working in an Oracle a MUST

- Multinational working experience, preferably with exposure to large US multinational

- Exposure to working in diverse cultures.
