Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality books efficiently for our customers (for US based clients)
- Ensure that all vendor invoices and credit notes are processed in an accurate and time efficient manner.
- Review, analyze and report on invoice and claim discrepancies Implement business change in accordance with plans
- Own and drive cost transparency, audit and analysis Own and be accountable for accurate cost data
- Own and be accountable for cost reporting (Vendor Statements, Reconciliations)
- Ensure review of urgent payments is done in accordance with the global guidelines
- Ensure overall AP controlling process adheres to the Global Standards set by the organisation
- Establishment of and follow up on relevant financial measurements for AP departments/teams/individuals
- Proactive identify, analyze and evaluate potential financial risks/upsides and mitigate these with relevant stakeholders
- Coordinate with internal as well as external stakeholders to ensure local, global and legal requirements are met
- Participate in and support improvement projects Set up a Control assurance framework to ensure compliance and reporting to standing orders and system of controls over AP accounting transactions
- Follow accounting policies and procedures Stay informed on industry developments and changes in regulations
Skills Required:
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Access)
- Have an Associate's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience
- Graduate qualified accountant with strong academic background
- Demonstrable track record in a similarly complex role
- Experience in Quickbooks, Bill.com , Plooto, Melio , Routable would be advantageous
- Experience in logistics business would be advantageous
- Knowledge of bookkeeping and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Advanced MS Excel knowledge (familiarity with formulas, VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
- Have excellent communication skills, both in person and in writing
- Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
- Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
- Experience and comfort with phone support a plus
- Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-context startup environment
- Ability to work with limited supervision in a dynamic small office environment
- Must act independently and demonstrate effective conflict resolution skills
- Can quickly learn to navigate current and new systems and tools
- Open to working for rotational shifts as needed Perks (India)
