Role Overview

The position nested in middle management in the Accounts & finance team critically oversees the entire accounting function thereby carrying the ownership of financial statements, budgets, MIS & reporting. The role supports the audit, tax & admin functions. A position of high responsibility, this requires atleast 4 years of accounting experience in a real estate group with an overall experience of more than 6 years post qualification of Charted Accountancy

Typical Duties

- Prepare financial Statements - Balance sheet, Profit & Loss A/C monthly, quarterly & annually

- Handle banks/financial institutes with regard to term loan/Working capital loan disbursement, etc

- Manage all financial accounting procedures and capitalization of assets

- Prepare annual budgets & variance analysis with actuals vs budgeted and ensure necessary interventions as & when required with management approval

- Submission of monthly MIS reports i.e. Monthly Financials viz. Monthly Balance Sheet, P&L Account, Cash Flow statement, BRS, Organization chart, Census Report etc.,

- Monitor day to day activities and ensuring accounts are updated on a daily basis.

- Reconcile banks & inter branch transactions

- Raise monthly funds requirement statements

- Accounts payable & vendor management

- Ensure statutory dues with regards to provident fund are remitted to the statutory authority on time

- Liaise with the Internal audit department.

- Monitoring accounts payable & accounts receivable

- Age wise analysis of debtors and creditors

Skill, Knowledge, Education and Experience

- CA with more than 6 years of experience, with atleast 3-4 years experience in general accounting with the real estate sector

- Knowledge of accounting principles & practices, finance principles, financial reporting, corporate law

- Proficiency in relevant accounting software

- Detail oriented, strong planning and organization skills
