Accounts Head - CA - Startup

We have an opening with one of our client for the role of Accounts Head with a Heavily funded Start Up Organisation.

Job Location: HSR Layout Bangalore

Designation: Accounts Head

Job Roles:

- CA with 8+ years of experience;

- Familiarity with Tally accounting and ensuring accurate and timely monthly and annual closing of accounts

- Ensuring periodic reconciliations and not leaving items unreconciled;

- Familiarity with TDS/GST/PF etc. returns to be filed and due dates;

- Broad familiarity with Income Tax provisions, provisions relating to set-off of losses, capital gains etc.;

- Preparation of MIS from Accounts;

- Comfortable with an unstructured and fast paced environment;

- Self-motivated, self-directed and able to figure out what needs to be done and when and how, without waiting for guidance or instructions;

- Strong business focus, meticulousness in filing and documentation and strong on process;

- Maturity and depth in dealing with directors and departmental heads

- Prior experience in supervising 3-4 reportees

- Promptly and accurately responding to internal and external queries received;

- Demonstrated ability to holistically manage interfaces with other related functions eg payroll, HR, Treasury etc;

- Familiarity with statutory audit of accounts and annual closing procedures;

Desirable attributes

- Precious work experience in a VC funded startup and FDD/LDD processes;

- Familiarity with periodic reporting to VCs;

- Familiarity with ESOP accounting and administration;

- Familiarity with fund raising and related secretarial and RBI filings

- Oriented towards cost efficiency and optimization;

- Proactive communicator and quick responses to emails/phone interactions

- Tightening internal controls in a business friendly manner
