Accounting Role - Claims - Manufacturing/Retail - CA

Exp: 3+ post CA

Qualification: CA mandatory

Need candidates who has experience 3 or 3+ in (AP/ Purchase accounting), (Claims/ Vendor Discounts)

Post CA experience will be calculated. Not previous experience.

Under the management of the Controller, will be part of a team of 6-10 people and be responsible for the end to end activities in vendor discounting for the entire B2B business.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Validation of all volume discount claims raised by the company on various vendors as per purchase agreements and schemes;

- Leading the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) from Finance team and ensuring that all the key system related changes are adequately enabled;

- Work closely with the technology team to identify, change and implement the changes in system for ensuring robust modality;

- Understanding the various stakeholders- (Retail/Sales/Planning team) requirements and delivering the requisites on time with total focus on Business;

- Posting of all P&L and Balance Sheet entries;

- Detailed variance analysis of Actuals Vs Forecast;

- Ensure proper checks are in place to substantiate the accuracy of reporting numbers;

- Responsible for timely closure of books for the month with a comprehensive approach of the Financials;

- Ensure the accuracy of numbers with respect to accounting and analysis;

- Cross functional approach, including interaction with vendors, for closure of open issues;

- Strengthening the Balance sheet review process with more emphasis on aged items;

- Building the compliance culture in the accounting mechanism;

- Handing Internal Audit, Statutory Audit, SOX audit and ICOFR compliance etc;

- Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Basic Qualifications:

- Chartered Accountant

- 3+ years of post-qualification accounting experience

- An understanding of IGAAP/IndAS

- Proficient in MS Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience of Big4/industry in Manufacturing / Retail/ Trading/ Ecommerce companies etc.

- Experience with handling large data / huge amount of inventory.

- Goal oriented with excellent teamwork skills

- Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision

- Ability to build successful relationships with many different stakeholders

- Ability to handle team and should be capable of performing all task independently.
