The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management, particularly within the retail or manufacturing sector. The AGM - Accounts will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards including P &l & Balance Sheet Statements.
2. Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including GST, income tax, and other applicable regulations.
3. Coordinate with auditors for annual audits and ensure timely resolution of any audit issues.
4. Oversee the company's cash flow to ensure efficient working capital management.
5. Monitor the accounts payable and receivable processes and ensure timely payments and collections.
6. Work closely with the senior management to forecast cash flow needs and plan for financial stability.
7. Lead the budgeting process for the company, ensuring alignment with business goals.
8. Provide regular financial forecasts and variance analysis to support decision making.
9. Conduct financial analysis to identify areas for cost control, efficiency improvements, and profitability.
10. Manage a team of accounting professionals, ensuring effective performance, training, and development.
11. Provide guidance on complex accounting issues and ensure high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
12. Foster a collaborative and high-performance environment within the accounts team.
13. Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
14. Review and improve financial processes and systems to increase efficiency and reduce the risk of errors.
15. Oversee all aspects of taxation, including GST filings, TDS returns, and income tax returns.
16. Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns and resolve any tax-related issues.
17. Management Reporting: o Prepare detailed financial reports for the senior management and stakeholders to provide insights into the company's financial health.
18. Analyze trends, financial performance, and KPIs to support strategic business decisions.
Qualifications:
1. Chartered Accountant (CA) or CMA qualified
2. Experience in the jewellery/retail or manufacturing industry is preferred.
3. Strong knowledge of accounting software (Tally, ERP, etc.) and MS Excel. In-depth understanding of financial regulations, taxation, and auditing.
4. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
