Accountant - Manufacturing Industry

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team in D.R. Congo. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards.

General Ledger Management:

- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts.

- Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

- Monitor and report on variances between actuals and budget.

Tax Compliance:

- Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns.

- Stay updated on local tax laws and regulations and ensure compliance.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

- Oversee the processing of invoices and payments.

- Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of dues.

Internal Controls:

- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

- Conduct regular audits to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.

Financial Analysis:

- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.

- Support decision-making through financial analysis and reporting.

Qualifications:

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CPA) is preferred.

Experience:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.

- Experience in the manufacturing or related industry is a plus.

- International work experience, particularly in Africa, is an advantage.

Skills:

- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Language:

- Proficiency in English is required.

- Knowledge of French is an advantage.
