Responsibilities:
1. Financial Accounting:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Monitor financial transactions and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
2. Taxation:
- Prepare and file tax returns (e.g., GST, income tax) in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Provide tax planning advice to optimize tax efficiency.
3. Company Secretarial:
- Assist in the formation and registration of companies.
- Maintain statutory registers and records.
- Prepare and file necessary documents with government authorities (e.g., ROC filings).
- Ensure compliance with company laws and regulations.
4. Compliance and Reporting:
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting, taxation, and company law.
- Prepare compliance reports and submit them to regulatory authorities.
- Assist in the organization's annual general meetings and board meetings.
5. Advisory and Strategy:
- Provide financial and legal advice to management.
- Assist in strategic decision-making, particularly in matters related to finance and compliance.
- Participate in financial planning and budgeting processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification preferred.
- Company Secretary (CS) qualification required.
- Proven experience in accounting and company secretarial work.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and company laws.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
