Ideal Candidate:
A person who has worked with brands to grow their potential in terms of revenue (business volumes), owned P&L of the brands and driven their growth on ecommerce marketplaces. You are passionate about growing brands on e-commerce platforms and have experience with digitally marketing brands on ecommerce marketplaces. You are interested in growing the business by being the customer expert, developing audience and optimization recommendations. You are a person who can forge clear paths through ambiguity and enjoys building a business from 0.
Responsibilities Include:
1. Growth champion - You will onboard and drive marketplace growth of brands, keeping in mind the consumer and the competition
2. Assess supply and demand to push brands' products on the ecommerce marketplace through search optimization. Own and execute listings, keywords and catalogue optimization (images, content and keywords) across marketplaces
3. You will own the P&L (profit and loss) statement for the relevant categories in alignment with business goals. Manage and support brands to ensure contribution to business volumes and profits
4. Serving as the one-point contact for the brands. Build and maintain strong long-lasting relationships
5. Assist with contract negotiations and close agreements to maximize profits. Effectively transition customers from Sales to Implementation through a seamless onboarding process
6. The Account Specialist is responsible for providing a timely response to inquiries from clients (include resp. cross-functional team owners)
7. Day to day interaction with clients regarding their business requirements and queries
8. Understanding the client requirements and developing new businesses with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement. Meeting with clients for their expansion needs operational planning.
9. Forecast and track key account metrics and create dashboards to present to concerned personnel.
- Analyze data completely i.e. from first mile to last mile.
- Track metrics including - inventory, catalogue management, advertising management, cost management, payment management
10. Work closely with Operations and product teams in order to fulfil brands' requirements.
11. Coordinating and communicating various reports to the client as and when required.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. 3+ years of experience as a ecommerce category management/ sales growth expertise
2. Must have excellent presentation, written communication and verbal communication skills
3. Natural ability to build strong relationships with brands and marketplaces
4. Have experience in pricing / promotion, advertising marketing strategies
5. Fluent in multiple system applications (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, G-suite products, etc.)
6. Comfortable in a fast growing start up
7. Ability to navigate through situations and keen understanding of when escalation is necessary
8. Highly self-motivated and results-oriented
9. Strong cross-functional collaborator and team player
