We have an opening for the position of Account Director with a Mid sized Mainline Advertising agency.
We are looking for a candidate for the position of Account Director (Mainline Advertising) with minimum 5 years or so of experience. The candidate should be independent, understand the value of money and should be able to manage it.
Job Description:
Oversee advertising account staff and coordinate all facets of campaign creation and management. Serve as the direct line of communication between clients and the creative team and work directly with clients to determine the message or image that should be conveyed to consumers.
Candidate will also perform other management activities, such as accounting for client billing, projecting income for the agency and reviewing the performance of junior staff.
Besides the above candidate will also be responsible for monitoring competitors- advertising, as well as trends in the consumer market that may affect their client's business.
The role can involve handling up to four client accounts
Typical work activities:
- Meeting and liaising with clients to discuss and identify their advertising requirements;
- Working with agency colleagues to devise an advertising campaign that meets the client's brief and budget;
- Presenting, alongside agency colleagues, the campaign ideas and budget to the client;
- Working with the senior servicing to brief media, creative and research staff, and assisting with the formulation of marketing strategies;
- Liaising with, and acting as the link between, the client and advertising agency by maintaining regular contact with both, ensuring that communication flows effectively;
- Negotiating with clients and agency staff about the details of campaigns;
- Presenting creative work to clients for approval or modification;
- Handling budgets, managing campaign costs and invoicing clients;
- Writing client reports;
- Monitoring the effectiveness of campaigns;
- Undertaking administration tasks;
- Arranging and attending meetings;
- Making 'pitches', along with other agency staff, to try to win new business for the agency.
