General Manager – Level B - Analytical and Reporting Manager – Telecom
Location – Mumbai
General Summary
- Responsible for the successful completion of the client engagement by planning, executing, and controlling all points of the delivery via support and oversight of the delivery team.
- Works closely with onshore Arbitrage/Regulatory Managers to understand specific back-office support activities that need to be executed by the team in order to successfully deliver clients’ vision.
- Coaches and mentors the delivery team producing quality, on-time, on-budget project deliverables that meet the SOW requirements and Service level Agreements (SLA). This includes planning, executing and supporting clients as per agreed targets.
Operational Responsibilities
- Lead teams to deliver as per agreed SLA for global clients, manage project economics including planning and budgeting, define deliverable content and manage stakeholders:
- Coordinates with clients and onsite team, all delivery activities and act as the executive escalation point for all issues specific to the assigned Tower
- Works with the client to manage the needs, expectations, delivery requirements and issues.
- Ensures all outputs are delivered on time, within budget and with high quality. Monthly report and monitor actual vs target results for defined carrier initiatives.
- Participates, as required, in Steering committee meetings.
- Effectively communicate with internal leadership team both on-site & off-site.
- Develop best practices, metrics and tools to improve operational efficiencies
- Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor Client-specific operations and Automate reports
- Involvement with negotiations on pricing with carriers / international telecom firms and worked on RFP, RFQ
- Support Intrastate unit costs reduction efforts and litigation via data analysis and reporting functions
- Perform Carrier Pricing Analytics and evaluate pricing plans and service agreements between carriers.
- Investigate frauds and non compliance between telecom carriers in the telecom space.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
People Management Responsibilities
- Perform role of counselor and coach, provides input and guidance into the firms staffing process, and actively participates in staff recruitment and retention activities
- Coordinates and ensures that the team is staffed adequately and is prepared
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise delivery team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work. Thus leading to a high performance team.
- Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
- Participate and be involved in management activities.
- Provide feedback and guide team members in process improvements and new initiative roll outs.
Participate in conducting health assessments and improvement opportunities and audits for the project on a periodic basis and communicate to management, and key stakeholder
Key Competencies and Characteristics
- Expert analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to handle stressful situations with perseverance and professionalism.
- Experience in commercial division of a telecom company with knowledge of enterprise pricing plans
- Expert level capability in use of desktop software (MS Office Suite, with focus on analytical skills in Excel).
- Demonstrated experience in personnel management and strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
- Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other cross functional teams.
- Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
- Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
- Possess exceptional interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (written & verbal) in English.
- 14 to 16 years total experience with 7-8 in telecom.
