Overall Purpose of the job

Contribute to computer (SAS) programming efforts for a clinical trial drug project and to provide programming support for clinical trial data reporting and regulatory submissions. Support the lead for project management at various protocol levels. Able to support multiple protocols independently and to contribute to integrated summaries of efficacy and safety. Demonstrates strong SAS programming skills; participates in protocol team and project team interactions. Builds successful relationships and seamless interfaces at the protocol/project team level. Provides timely and effective communication to the client leads.

Responsibilities/Authorities

- To lead as SAS Capability for the respective SDO with excellent organization and Time Management skills.

- Interface with client lead programmers and statisticians build effective and trust based working relationship. Maintain communication as required by the process model to assure client is well informed and involved only as needed in the resolution of technical issues.

- Responsible for all SAS engagements based out of Location. The responsibility includes service delivery and people leadership. Providing leadership and functional oversight to all Pharma SAS engagements. Ensure timely & quality delivery as per SLAs, manage recruitment & attrition, assist business development and transition it to offshore.

- Evaluate process change feasibility & where required, articulate need / benefits to the customer and drive the improvement process

- Ensure adherence to corporate Worldwide Safety Standards (WSS) or equivalent, relevant guidelines, SOPs & WPs

- Set reasonable, challenging and clear performance goals for direct reports, communicate expectations clearly, monitor performance & provide appropriate feedback

- Review and provide inputs for RFPs as appropriate to initiate work orders for new projects

- Share best-practices, ensure standardization & replication of processes

- Participate in recruitment and motivate the team ensuring retention management

- Ensure team members are provided opportunities to further their career aspirations in line with their capabilities and organizational requirements

- Encourage initiatives to foster work-life balance & make the work-environment lively

- Liaise regularly with the Finance and Accounts team, On-shore finance and HR, Pharma leads across sites, Information Security, Tech team to ensure efficient running of business.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

- Desired Years of Experience: 10 years and above

Desired Educational Requirements:

- PhD in Statistics/Biostatistics/Applied Mathematics or related technical discipline.

- SAS Programming Skills (SAS/BASE including Macros and SQL, SAS/STAT, SAS/GRAPH)
