Capability Network - Operations - Sourcing & Procurement
Location: Gurgaon, Mumbai, Bangalore
Job Description:
An analyst in the Sourcing and Procurement team within the Capability Network(CN) in Accenture would be a part of globally diverse consulting team entrusted with the task of delivering sourcing and procurement engagements for clients across industries.
The analyst is expected to work as part of a global team to successfully execute individual sourcing and procurement related work streams, such as strategically sourcing a commodity, conducting spend analytics / market intelligence, identifying cost reduction or process improvement opportunities etc.
Required Experience and Skills:
- In-depth understanding of sourcing and procurement fundamentals coupled with consulting / industry experience across sourcing direct commodities, supplier development, supplier risk management, procurement operating model design / implementation and procure to pay process transformation
- Experience in a consulting firm and global exposure is desirable
- Excellent data analytics / data interpretation and presentation skills are essential
- Strong written and verbal communication skills area must
- Should have good project and people management skills
- This role would involve a certain amount of travel. There needs to be flexibility from this perspective
Functional Capability and Expertise:
- Ability to Identify evaluate and prioritize sourcing opportunities in alignment with financial objectives, ability to perform spend analysis
- Ability to Identify and pursue involvement in areas within the company in which the Strategic Sourcing organization can add value
- Conduct effective market research on industry best practices systems and products, and apply Porter 5 Forces, SWOT analysis
- Interpret data quickly and elevate potential issues to appropriate level of review
- Effectively request analyze and evaluate vendor proposals (RFI/RFQs) and present findings
- Ability to endorse and embed effectively the strategic sourcing process
- Assist in developing long and short term sourcing strategies objectives and scope for defined commodities
- Actively influence key business partner decisions by recommending best sourcing strategy
- Assist in setting direction for supplier development and evaluation programs
- Familiarity with sourcing and procurement related modules of ERP systems (SAP, Ariba) or business intelligence tools such as Emptoris, Zycus, Sievo would be an added advantage
- Knowledge of MS Access, SQL would be an additional advantage
