Senior Manager – Market Research

Key Responsibilities:

- Managing market research projects for multiple global clients across geographies (India and abroad) and across domains

- Managing and building relationships with key strategic accounts.

- Managing a medium to large sized team (team a mix of Analyst & Consultant from premier Engineering & Management institute) and being responsible for people management activities like developing and coaching team members, supporting & implementing processes like appraisals, project dashboards, project effort tracking etc.

- Ensuring effective client management including developing and managing internal processes for seamless project delivery, streamlining existing processes, leading/assisting business development initiatives in the company including managing and developing existing and/or new client relationships.

- Taking initiatives related to overall firm development

- Part of initiative drive to develop new product / service offering to clients

- Would also require to travel onsite for client meetings / presentations

Pre-Requisites

- 10+ years experience in market research & insights delivery

- Have done extensive client engagement – end to end (understanding of the business issue and translating it into research output). This also require a lot of hand holding done to the client at each stage of the journey

- Team management – handled at least a team of 7 –10 members with few having some experience

- Proposal / presentation writing skills

- Handled target worth at least INR 2 crores annual. It is not to be seen as BD acumen but more in terms of amount of work done

- Have experience in handling / working on different kind of studies (example – concept testing, brand tracking, CSAT etc)

- Optional – exposure to at least 3 – 4 different verticals / sectors

- Good Analytics & Problem Solving Skills

- Experience in Questionnaire Designing and Report Making

- Effective Decision Making Skills

- Good Communication Skills: Refers to effective oral, written & presentation skills

- Effective project and People Management Skills

- Consulting Skills - Ability to impact business decisions through analytics and research

- Masters in a Quantitative discipline or MBA from a premier institute.
