Senior Manager- Data Engineering

- 10+ years of total IT experience developing scalable & high availability applications of which 4+ years of experience with Big Data technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Hive, Oozie, Flume

- Programming background with expertise in Spark with Java/Python

- Well versed with REST API (JAX-RS/Flask/Bottle or any other framework in Java/Python)

- Familiarity with databases (NoSQL/RDBMS)

- Hands-on experience in software design & development using Agile methodology

- Knowledge of software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, unit testing, TDD, source control management, continuous integration, defect management, build processes & testing.

- Development, Implementation, Team Mentoring and Training on Bigdata and python/java based web applications

- Manager P&L and Gross Margin for the account.

- Managing a span of 50+ team members. Keeping them motivated and aligned as per the deliverables.

- Pre-Sales including Solutioning, Estimations, Creating Proposal decks, responding to RFPs.

- Graduate / Postgraduate in Computer Sciences or a related field
