Summary of the Role:

To support decision making by providing analysis and econometric models to analyse various aspects of the housing market and its impact on the national economic growth and GDP.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop econometric-models and analysis for predicting trends and establishing economic policy to support the various housing and city infrastructure development programs being undertaken by the client (Government body)

Be the consultant-in-residence for the client in all matters of macro- and micro-economic trends in KSA, Gulf region countries and globally particularly for subjects related to housing and city infrastructure development

Develop models to measure and analyze the contribution of the housing sector in the GDP, and the factors affecting it

Develop analysis and PoV (point of view) assessments to articulate the contribution of the housing sector in the national economy of KSA

Create internal guidelines, processes and methodologies for conducting econometric studies and research programs

Partner with stakeholders from other government agencies at local and national level, as well as other related Ministries of the government for developing and implementing the economic policies

Desired Candidate Profile

PhD/Masters degree in Statistics/Economics

6-8 years of experience in developing econometric analysis and models, analysis of Single Time Series & Multivariate Time Series

Experience in supporting public policy making and analysis of housing supply evolution is highly desirable

Should be skilled and hands-on in using relevant software packages R, SAS, SPSS, Python, EViews

Experience in mentoring a team of 3-4 analysts and economists
