Lead - User Experience Designer
abof.com is looking for an experienced UX designer to create innovative, elegant customer experiences on our mobile and desktop platforms. In this role, you will work closely with product owners and technology teams to translate user and business needs into a usable and engaging retail e-commerce experiences. This position is responsible for UX design from concept to completion, including creating, conceptual wireframes and prototypes for apps, mobile, and desktop website projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Brainstorm with a cross-functional team to help define business and feature requirements.
- Quickly iterate on multiple interactive design solutions and work through details.
- Create sketches, process flows, wireframes, prototypes, high fidelity mockups, and detailed specifications to effectively communicate interactions and design ideas.
- Designing for multiple interfaces (mobile, tablet and web)
- Work alongside engineers and product managers throughout all stages of the production cycle.
- Present design work to multiple teams and senior leadership for review and feedback.
- Contribute to user interface design and development of best practices and standards.
An online portfolio is a pre-requisite for consideration.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information design, or similar role. E-commerce experience is preferred.
- An online portfolio or sample of work demonstrating experience creating great user-centered design solutions.
- Experience designing for the web and web based devices including mobile phones and tablets.
- Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs.
- Fluency on design practices for mobile and web-based information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability practices and techniques.
- Proficiency with design tools like Sketch, Adobe Creative Suits, InVision, etc.
Preferred Qualification
A bachelor's or master's degree in Interaction Design, Service Design, Information Design or other related design fields.
