- Analytical and Articulation skills.
- Understanding of policy interface (Experience on State Excise and commercial taxes policy will be an advantage) with ability to relate the application of laws in commercial and manufacturing businesses.
- Lead in creating position papers on best practices, enabling tax policies and revenue modelling.
- Present linkages of best practices to Govt.
- related to industry pricing concerns and ease of doing business as core to industry sustenance.
- Create opportunities within the regulatory framework to address trade and tax barriers, securing sensible and sustainable regulatory outcomes.
- Build relationship and reputation with key stakeholders with high level of integrity and business insights.
- Stakeholder mapping of key functionaries in the respective state Governments like Excise, Commercial Taxes and central agencies as Legal Metrology, FSSAI, Commerce & Industry, Fire & Safety & Pollution Control Board, Irrigation, Health and govt dispensation in general to support other regional resources.
- Facilitate Licensing and operational support on regulatory engagement matters of the sales, manufacturing functions, supply chain etc.
- Build effective ties and understanding of the market dynamics both at wholesale and Retail trade.
- Position company as Thought leader on Alco-bev policies within government, key regulators, Industry associations, Think tanks, NGOs and other stakeholders.
- Work with policy makers to leverage the Make in India initiatives and Ease of Doing Business parameters.
- Lead engagements of Industry Associations including providing inputs and direction to industry operational issues, policy development etc.
- Participate in industry initiatives in creating a level playing field for brands and businesses.
- Support digitization initiatives and reforms in licensing and taxation regime.
- Build shortand long-term sustainability strategies to achieve identified SDG goals.
- Minimum of 10-15-years experience in corporate relations, regulatory affairs, CSR and having successfully held public policy and/or government relations roles in previous work experience with state govt(s).
