About the role : abCoffee, a leading coffee company passionate about creating exceptional coffee experiences, is seeking a driven and results-oriented Head of Projects to lead and manage all aspects of our deck development and expansion initiatives. This is a fast-paced and dynamic role ideal for a candidate with a proven track record of success in the QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) industry.

Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Execution:

- Oversee the entire Cafee development lifecycle, from site selection and permitting to construction, equipment installation, and grand opening.

- Manage a team of project professionals (e.g., architects, engineers, contractors) to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

- Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets for new Cafee openings and renovations.

- Proactively identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Site Selection & Lease Negotiation:

- Collaborate with real estate teams to identify and evaluate potential Cafee locations based on market research, demographics, and strategic goals.

- Negotiate favourable lease terms with landlords and property owners.

Construction Management:

- Oversee the construction process, ensuring compliance with all building codes and regulations.

- Manage relationships with contractors and vendors, ensuring timely completion and quality workmanship.

- Conduct regular site inspections and address any issues promptly.

Inventory & Equipment Management:

- Develop and manage systems for acquiring and installing equipment for new and existing Cafees.

- Maintain accurate inventory records for equipment and supplies.

- Budget Management & Reporting:

- Develop and manage project budgets and track project expenses.

- Prepare regular reports on project progress, including timelines, budgets, and potential risks.

High Leadership & Flexibility:

- Provide strong leadership and direction for the project management team.

- Be adaptable and flexible to work within a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

- Willing to work a 6-day workweek to ensure project success.

Qualifications :

- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in project management, preferably within the QSR industry.

- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing multiple complex projects on time and within budget.

- Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and permitting requirements.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.

- Experience with QSR operations is a plus.
