Primary Job Function: - Contributes to the development of the AIL Therapy Area Storytelling through an effective communication &amp; Public Relations plan. With an appropriate level of guidance from PA team, translates the plan &amp; executes key initiatives. Informs &amp; aligns with relevant others to gain commitment from key decision-makers prior to implementation. - Leads the Internal Communications and field-force employee engagement function of Abbott India Limited. Core Job Responsibilities: 1. Storytelling: Leads the development &amp; implementation of strategically focused local PR initiatives (less complex or critical visibility) that enhance brand visibility/reputation- Includes the identification of PR opportunities, evaluation of appropriate tactics, development of communication materials (presentations, Q&amp;A- s, posters, infographics etc) for the Management Team. Either develops, or manages an agency to develop appropriate press materials that optimise the achievement of the required results. - Evaluates results to determine the ROI &amp; potential improvement opportunities. Under guidance co-ordinates more complex/high visibility initiatives. 2. AIL Media Centre of Excellence: Manages the performance of AIL PR agency/ies for assigned projects to ensure required services are delivered to the required standard &amp; within agreed costs/time-frames. Includes providing the initial briefing, obtaining strategic counsel, reviewing progress &amp; securing approval for outcomes 3. Media Agency Relationships: Develops &amp; maintains professional working relationships with relevant media-teams, community &amp; business leaders who can influence/facilitate the achievement of business results. In relevant situations initiates contact &amp; provides appropriate information to educate &amp; gain optimum support. 4. Employee Engagement: Supports the development &amp; implementation of effective twoway internal communications that enhance understanding &amp; achievement of the business goals &amp; build employee (Head Office and Field Force) commitment/motivation. Includes identifying &amp; developing local programmes &amp; tools (newsletters, posters, contests, events etc). 5. Collaboration Agent: Develops and maintains an effective network of contacts within the marketing function &amp; broader AIL business. Aligns with relevant contacts to share ideas, information &amp; best practices &amp; supports the replication of learning &amp;/or adaptation of best practices across AIL Supervisory/Management Responsibilities: The Manager- Commercial Communications will report in to the Head- Marketing Excellence. He/She will have no personnel reporting to him/her. He/She is an Individual Contributor. Position Accountability / Scope: Geographically, this role has authority over AIL-Abbott India Limited (in conjunction with the Head-Marketing Excellence, AIL) Minimum Education: Bachelor's/PG Degree in English, Journalism or other communication major. Medical degree/diploma highly preferred. Minimum Experience/Training Required: 1. Experience in Public Relations/ Content Writing. 2. Strong Medico-Marketing background, who can interpret medical data into consumerised medico-marketing content 3. Experience in working in a cross-functional team and with global stakeholders 4. Fluency in English, both written and verbal, required.
