ABB software research and development team in Bangalore is part of a global network with 5 research
centers world-wide. The center is collocated with and offers collaboration opportunities with a large software development center (more than 1000 developers) in a state-of-the-art facility, making it an ideal place for career enhancements.

You will be part of Power Technologies department which focuses on creating a synergy between multiple domains and technologies to provide solutions to Power Products and Power systems Divisions.

You as a team manager will be managing a team and will be responsible for following task:

Team Strategy

- Proposes the team strategy identifying the strengths, weakness and opportunities, and implementing the approved strategy

Product Development

- Collaborate with global product development centers in identifying, prioritizing and allocating application software development and propose the same to the product manager/BU Technology Manager for approval

Process

- Defines the process for software development and testing to be followed within the team in line with the set quality processes

- Identifies areas of improvement and implements actions to improve productivity, quality and on time delivery

Project Management

- Overall responsible for the planning, execution, monitoring and control of the assigned product development and application software development projects adhering to set project deliverables and guidelines

- Co-ordinate with the global project team in ensuring the developed application is in line with the overall project goal

Resource Allocation

- Assigns resources to various product development projects ensuring alignment of knowledge and skills to project requirements.

Infrastructure

- Ensures availability of all infrastructure requirements for the execution of the assigned project

Candidate from Power Industry would be preferred
