1. PURPOSE OF ROLE

Please summarise the overall purpose of the role.

The Solutions Technical Architecture Team is key within "AB InBev Solutions" supporting us to deliver high quality, world class IT solutions that enable and meet our business requirements. The team will be responsible to:

- Leverage industry and organizational standards, patterns, frameworks, and best practices to develop architectures that enable the fulfilment of business strategies

- Create, govern and continuously improve standards and architectures for our company wide solutions (those solutions that will be rolled out and impact across multiple zones).

- Provide direct technical design and delivery support for top priority initiatives while governing, influencing and approving all other initiatives.

- Create, maintain and drive usage of a repository for technical design artefacts across the entire ABI Solutions community.

- Provide support and guidance across the company on technical design and standards.

- Ensure that delivered solutions are aligned to enterprise standards (Architecture, Operations, and Infrastructure) and of high quality while maintaining the required non-functional attributes such as performance, supportability, security, usability, reliability and stability.

- Prototype new solutions to test and confirm technical design of new products and ideas.

Additionally the Salesforce Platform Architects:

- Assist our Delivery Programme Managers to plan and manage the technical requirements of projects based on the force.com platform ensuring their successful delivery into operations efficiently, with low cost, speed and results.

- Take accountability for the technical design of solutions within their area ensuring the delivery of technical specifications and architectures adhering to the non-functional attributes required (e.g. security, usability and stability).

- Will plan, design, and monitor these key characteristics to help ensure that the proposed solutions perform adequately and comply with enterprise standards ensuring technical readiness at each stage gate

- Work closely with all other areas in Solutions and their respective vendors to support with technical knowledge, standards, templates, tools and methodologies for building, running and enhancing Salesforce.com suite of products.

Additionally this position:

- Provides the technical knowledge, standards, templates, tools and methodology for building, running and enhancing applications running on the force.com platform ensuring that our internal and external technical experts are delivering the expected capabilities efficiently, with low cost and speed.

- Keep current with the latest technologies & best practices and determine what new technology solutions and implementations will meet business and system requirements

- Supervise, mentor and co-ordinate the work of internal / outsource developers so that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

- Manage and implement the end-to-end development process & methodologies (developed, test and implement) and align with the relevant teams to ensure correct and approved tools are utilised and documented

- Set up general coding design principles & frameworks ensuring re-use, high-quality, security, and correct tool usage

- Ensure that on boarding of developers is consistent across the organisation so that these standards and processes are communicated clearly and understood

The geographic scope for this position covers all AB Inbev zones.

2. KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES -

- Design applications using out-of-the-box Salesforce products:

- Sales Cloud; Service Cloud; Marketing Cloud

- Einstein Analytics; Heroku

- Custom applications on Force.com platform

- Up-to-date with AppExchange products and other accelerators for business processes.

- Develop SDLC processes, Development Standards and Naming Conventions as per audit requirements of the organization:

- Naming standards

- Documentation

- Security

- Code Repository Management Tools

- Design standards

- Define, provide and govern technical solution design by ensuring the proper repository of specifications as well as global coding standards, development methodologies and others are available

- Assist and provide partners with code standards, technical and support requirements to ensure fast and cost-efficient delivery of high-performance and compliant solutions.

- Ensure compliance of projects/change requests by establishing QA/Code review processes and procedures

- Communicate design challenges clearly to technology partners to ensure standardization and simplification is achieved.

- Serve as a fully seasoned, technically proficient resource; routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities as a team member or as an individual contributor.

- Assist with the build of prototypes in the Design Lab to confirm design assumptions and prove non-functional requirements

- Ensure the proper prototyping tools and standards are in place to ensure fast and efficient prototypes

3. BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT

- The Global Design Lab in Bengaluru-India, together with the Delivery Centers of Jaguariuna and Aguascalientes, design and deliver all cross-zone Solutions and companywide Solutions programs.

- The Design Lab also supports our Zones with design methodology as well as functional and technical expertise for systems.

- The job holder is located within the Design Lab in Bengaluru-India with daily interactions both within ABI across all zones and with vendors at multiple off-shore locations. The job holder must thrive working in a quick-changing environment, where processes are often not clearly defined or implemented and where processes cut across cultures, languages and geographies.

- Within Solutions, the job holder interacts continuously with the Enterprise Architecture, Demand and the other areas under design and Delivery as part of the program lifecycle management.

- Strong interaction with Zone and Global Functions is also expected when detailing business requirements and during design review and validation.

- Global Solutions Operations, both IT and Business Services, are considered as key-stakeholders for all programs since they act as both clients and system owners when solution is transitioned to regular operations.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

Academic Degree - BSc Honours, Masters or PhD.

Engineer, IT-Related professions

- Professional qualifications and accreditations/memberships required:

Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II

- Previous work experience required

7+ years experience of Salesforce.com industry experience of which 5+ years in a Saleforce.com development lead role.

Experience managing and co-ordinating the efforts of a team of developers

Previous full-lifecycle implementation experience of Major Salesforce implementations in a development lead role (large multi-user / multi country)

Working experience with Jira or VSTS

Experience in DEVOPS and Continuous Delivery/integration tools and methodologies

Working experience in a complex development environment (multiple production, development, testing branches with merging)

Experience in working in a multi-national / multi-cultural / multi-time zone environment

Experience in CPG company strongly preferred

- Language skills required

English (Fluent)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

IT skills required

- A thorough understanding of software development methodologies (Agile essential), values, and procedures

- A thorough understanding of development best practices and standards

- A thorough understanding of DEVOPS strategies and implementations

- Knowledge of the usage and implementation of ITIL and TOGAF

- Technologies and Technical Landscapes supporting multiple business areas

- Strong analytical / problem-solving skills
