Primary Purpose of the role Responsible to ensure appropriateness of internal controls in place to mitigate risk and drive the culture to ensure compliance and adherence Key Tasks & Accountabilities: 1. People Management: - Recruit, mentor, motivate and direct team to ensure delivery with the best quality - Empower team and provide a safe space for the team talent to shine and outgrow 2. Controls: - Evaluate risk management framework and drive transformation to prioritize compliance with regulations - Drive a culture of process improvement, robustness, and adherence through targeted initiatives on building controls literacy - Build and maintain the framework for testing of process robustness across the organization and take corrective actions on a timely basis to improve SOX compliance score 3. Reporting: - Hands on with preparation of financial statements as per IFRS and India GAAP - Be able to drive statutory audits independently, ensure closure within statutory timelines - Drive and ensure timely month/quarter/year end closure Required Knowledge, Skills & Attributes: Education & Experience: - CA (Must have), MBA from Tier-I college (Preferred) - 6+ year work experience will be preferred - Prior experience in Controls, Reporting, Audit etc. Skills and/or knowledge - Business and Commercial acumen - To be abreast with latest development in standards and law - Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and presentation - Strong problem solving and analytical skills - Strong people skills and ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders with a change-agent mindset - Ability to differentiate between conflicting priorities and issues to identify underlying causes - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and assess priorities effectively And above all of this, an undying love for beer!
