1. PURPOSE OF ROLE :

Pricing & Discounts Analyst, reporting to Manager, Commercial will work cohesively with Revenue Managers or concerned Sales personnel of the assigned country to execute specific GCC processes related to Pricing & Discounts.

Initiatives will involve execution/deployment Commercial KPIs as well as Pricing & Discount related activities. It will also work on consolidation of data, reviewing data results and providing quality insights and inputs for MPM and CPR decks. The position holder is expected to drive major initiatives such as Pricing Process Standardization & Digitization, bring automation wherever possible to further strengthen the process and reduce lead time.

Pricing and Discounts Analyst is responsible for executing Pricing & Discounts Process on a daily basis according to Service Level Agreements (SLA). In addition, participates actively in standardization and improvement of projects, tools.

2. KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES :

Here is the list of key tasks and responsibilities for this role :

- Pack Price Architecture: Work on Consumer & Shopper Pack Price Architecture, driving optimal, insights-based Packs & Prices for each occasion & channel.

- Promotion Strategy : Defining a clear channel & customer promotion strategy, setting the guiderails, identifying the optimal offer, establishing the frequency in order to deliver the targeted Consumer Value, Effectiveness and Profitability.

- Max the Mix : Identify Mix 'Drags & Drivers' within the portfolio and provide clear recommendations on the most optimal commercial strategy and game plan to maximize the Mix.

- Trade Terms : Work with Sales Management, Finance and Commercial teams to support building an optimal pricing strategy by customer/channel and by product including customer margins structure and counterparts

- Pricing : Determine annual or periodic Pricing rates which is informed by appropriate external & competitive benchmarks

- Provide on the job guidance, stewardship to the delivery teams on all activities listed in the sales shared service catalogue and be personally involved in issue resolution and escalation; ensure that the service catalogue for shared services is strictly adhered to

- Actively conduct on-going review of operational services to drive agility and effectiveness

- Ensure delivery of accurate and timely data in accordance with agreed service level agreements (SLA)

3. BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT :

1. Main Characteristics: Manages/supports end to end pricing and discounts process, ensures timely closure of all requests raised, ensures correct data uploads in system, ensure timely invoicing to customers.

2. Evaluation Criteria (Targets): Position will be responsible to support the country Tech-Sales managers. It will entail working very closely with Tech-sales teams at GCC and in-country teams. The position is key to drive growth for business in commercial. Reporting & Analysis of accurate KPI's within the agreed SLAs

3. Geographical Scope: Europe Zone, but scope can change depending upon organization's requirement

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS :

Please list the following requirements :

- Level of educational attainment required: University degree in Business, Finance or related field required MBA/PGDBM is an added advantage

- Previous work experience required6-8 years of overall experience

- 3-4 years of pricing or accounting experience will be preferred

- Experience with FMCG sector will be added advantage

- Understanding of P&L will be preferred

- Language skills required : Fluent in English

- IT skills required : Proficient in MS Excel, Power-point, Word.

- Excellent in creating and maintaining Excel models

- Familiar with database and data visualization tools (like Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, etc)

- Statistical Analysis and Statistical Tools Experience (R, Minitab, SPSS) will be a plus

Other Skills required :


- Strong Analytical and problem solving skills

- Good communication and presentation skills

- Stake-holder management experience preferred

- Budgeting & Forecasting & Modeling skills preferred

- Good Understanding of financial concepts and transactions

- Ability to be highly flexible and react swiftly to changing priorities and urgent situations
