eRetail Global Data Analyst
1. PURPOSE OF ROLE :
- The eRetail global data analyst reporting to the global manager of analytics for eRetail, will be responsible for the continuous improvement of our global eRetail financial and management reporting capabilities.
- They will work as part of our global eRetail data team, along with local analytics specialists, data engineers and data scientists located across the world to unlock the value of our data assets and build a truly data driven organisation.
What you will be doing :
- Develop and enhance our global financial analytics PowerBI reports and dashboards.
- Define the long-term management analytics roadmap, working closely with the global eRetail leadership team to provide effective business monitoring, insights and data driven automation.
- Manage the design, development, and delivery of self-service data infrastructure, ensuring data quality and proper governance.
- Work closely with our engineering team to develop and maintain the financial and management system data models.
- Communicate the value and manage the implementation of world-class measurement methodologies.
- Develop tools and solutions that improve corporate analytics maturity to support growing demand for fact-based customer-centric decision making.
- Develop ad hoc analysis of critical issues that impact business performance and translate the analysis into actionable recommendations or automation opportunities.
- We are looking for data, insights and recommendations that lead to change, not simply reporting what has occurred.
Who we are looking for:
- Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills with proven ability to deliver actionable insights and return on investment.
- Strong skills in database management, modelling, querying and ETL processing.
- SQL proficiency (mandatory)
- Extensive experience with business intelligence platforms and data visualization (PowerBI preferred).
- Advanced DAX (mandatory).
- Clear understanding of modern data stores architecture and concepts of structured and unstructured data types.
- Strong relationship management skills and ability to collaborate with people at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal; ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Advanced Excel (Mandatory)
- Performs well in an agile environment with competing priorities and multiple projects.
- Excellent written and verbal proficiency in English.
- Demonstratable experience working within data and analytics with extensive experience in business performance analytics.
