Job Title : Director, Analytics

1. PURPOSE OF ROLE :
- Develop strong analytics, data and technological capabilities for NAZ
- Bring in software engineering best practices in the way we work
- Coach, mentor and develop people
- Build strong stakeholder relationships
2. KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES :
- Develop strong analytics, data and technological capabilities for the program and extend that to full fledged assortment optimization for off-trade/on-trade
- Bring in software engineering best practices e.g. adoption of the agile model of development, managing code repos, working on cloud etc. to solution development
- Create strong technical talent that spans data science, engineering, database modellers, ETL automation within the team
- Coach, mentor and develop people using PDPs, 1-1 skip & also bring in newer senior talent. Create clear career development plans for each team member
- Build strong stakeholder relationships with NAZ Solutions and Business teams.
3. BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT :
- Be a subject matter expert in doing technical review of outputs, ways of working
- Maintain effective relationships with all implementation partners to implement the recommendations.
- Ensuring all the activities have adherence to plan and communicate in advance of any changes
Evaluation Criteria (Targets) :
- All review activities completed in time and without business disruption.
- Reducing time for refresh
- Improve KPIs for the program

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS :
Level of educational attainment required :
- Bachelors or Masters
- Computer Science or Engineering
- Previous work experience required
- Experience in working with software development, SaaS products
- Experience in cloud, databases, programming and DevOps
- Experience in machine learning applications esp. deploying in production
- Experience in leading and building high performing product development teams
- Experience in stakeholder management and value creation
Language skills required : English
IT skills required :
- Hadoop ecosystem (viz. HDFS, Spark, NoSQL dbs, Hive, Sqoop, Databricks)
- Agile development tools (viz. Jira, Github, Jenkins)
- Prior strong proficiency in SQL or Python esp. OOP
- Microsoft Office
