About the Role - 

- Perform design, creation, interpretation and management of large datasets to achieve business / analytics goals

- Perform data updates, indexing, and maintenance in application database

- Help to implement new data management projects and re-structure of the current data architecture

- Process and update third party data sources

- Identify and solve issues concerning data management to improve data quality

- Design and develop scalable ETL packages from the business source systems

- Develop ETL routines in order to populate databases from sources and also to create aggregates

- Enable and run data migrations across different databases and different servers

- Troubleshoot data issues within the business and across the business and presents solutions to these issues

Experience:

- Ideal candidate would have 9+ years-working experience as a database support personnel or a database administrator or ETL developer and administrator within a fast-paced a complex business setting

- Should have very good perspective on tradeoffs involved in design considerations

- Should have a broad exposure to different data technologies and pros and cons of choosing one over the other

- Experience in the creation and debugging of databases critical to the business's mission

- System management expertise with monitoring, disaster recovery, backup, automated testing, automated schema migration, and continuous deployment

- Experience working with large and complex data sets as well as experience analyzing volumes of data

- Experience working with MySQL databases and Microsoft SQL

- Should have strong perspective on how to create Data-as-a-Service internally in the organization

Educational Qualification:

- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering).

- Master's degree preferred

Technical Skills:

- Ability to develop complex queries using Teradata, MS SQL Server, My SQL and similar platforms and tune them for performance

- Good idea of database administration

- Ability to design, build, and maintain the business's ETL pipeline

- Strong Python / R and Shell scripting

- Prior domain experience in CPG and beverage industry preferred
