As we rapidly grow, we're seeking a talented Supply Chain Specialist to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of coffee from farm to cup.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with green coffee buyers to source high-quality beans that meet abCoffee's standards for ethical sourcing, sustainability, and exceptional taste.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure on-time delivery of green coffee beans.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with logistics providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation of coffee beans.
- Oversee inventory management for green coffee beans and roasting supplies, including forecasting demand, managing stock levels, and optimizing storage solutions.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures throughout the supply chain, ensuring coffee beans meet abCoffee's quality standards.
- Track and analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement, cost reduction, and risk mitigation.
- Stay updated on industry trends in coffee sourcing, logistics, and sustainability.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of sustainable sourcing practices within the supply chain.
- Assist with developing and maintaining strong relationships with coffee origin partners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/master's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in supply chain management, ideally within the food and beverage industry.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and inventory management software (a plus).
- Experience with data analysis tools and a strong analytical mind.
- Passion for coffee and a strong understanding of coffee sourcing and quality is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
