1065 Hedge fund Manager


- US Federal and State Tax Return Preparation and Review.

- Complex preparation and review of US Partnership and Corporation Tax returns including Schedule K-1s, Form 1065, 1120,1042/1042-S, 8991,8621, 8865, 8858 etc.

- International Taxation, Tax Research, and various Tax Treaties (5471, 5472, 8865 etc.).


- Computations across Investment Management industry using the standard procedures, majorly for Private Equity and Hedge Funds (major).


- Thoroughly understand the investment funds' structures, prepare, and review taxable income calculation, allocation schedule, preliminary forms, and related tax return compliance Calculate partner allocations for Schedule K-1 (Federal and states) reporting for investors.

- Analysed K-1 footnote disclosure requirements for domestic/foreign investors including, UBTI, Form 926, FDAP withholding, and DRD, etc.

- Responsible for self-review of deliverables before handing them to supervisors.

Multi State Tax Return :

- Tax compliance review and technical research.

- Preparing and submitting tax returns for review or filing.

- Direct interaction with partners and senior managers.

- Supervision of Associate accountants.

- Management of numerous client accounts.

- Participation in assigning duties and training staff.

- Mentor and coach staff members in their development.

- Supervise numerous engagements simultaneously.

- Capable of effectively developing and maintaining client relationships.

- Should have good leadership quality and team handling experience.

- Should have good reviewer and query resolving skills.

- Should have client handling experience.

- Ability to delegate work as needed.

Qualifications and Skills :

- 7 years of experience in a tax accountant or public accountant role.

- Advance Microsoft Excel experience preferred.

- Excellent knowledge of tax accounting and all types of tax returns.

- Excellent time-management and problem-solving skills.

- Analytical skills with detail orientation.

- Familiarity with U.S. Federal, State and Local reporting requirements.

- Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations.

- Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with Partners and Managers.

- BA/BS in Accounting, MBA Finance, CA Inter, CA, M.COM or similar certified degree.


- EA / CPA Preferred.

- Advanced written and verbal communications skills.

- Dedicated team player with effective leadership skills.

- Integrity within a professional work environment.

Software Skills :


- Should be trained in at least one or more tax preparation softwares like CCH, GoSystems , K-1G etc.
