Lowes - Senior Analyst - Enterprise Analytics (4-5 yrs)

Responsibilities

Advanced Analytics - Provide deep and sophisticated analytic thought leadership and capabilities to tackle the toughest analytic problems facing retail in the home improvement space today

- Translate business problems into analytic problems and analytic problems into mathematical problems

- Create and manage predictive and prescriptive models supporting a vast array of customer and business scenarios starting from data extraction, summarization, statistical applications to Summarization of conclusions and solutions for presentation that business managers can understand

- Make specific business recommendations and impact assessments based on analytic output

- Develop sophisticated customer relationship and matching algorithms incorporating internal and external data

- Develop and manage advanced prescriptive techniques and algorithms incorporating internal customer behavior data in combination with external data from social media, blogs, forums, product ratings and reviews, etc.

Key Qualifications & Skill Sets

- Masters in Statistics, Econometrics or any other applied quantitative field with 3.5-5.5 years of relevant experience

- Experience working with analytic software (Base SAS, SAS Enterprise Miner preferred)

- Experience developing and performing advanced data modeling techniques (linear/logistic regression, ARIMA, Cluster Analysis, etc.)

- Experience designing experiments and perform hypothesis testing including statistical evaluation (t-test, paired t-test, ANOVA)

- Experience working enterprise level data bases (Teradata, Oracle, Infomix, etc.) developing expert SQL and data management skills
