We employ fantastic people- come join the fun! - Legal advisor to Lenovo India Business, working closely with the senior leadership team in India on both business, compliance, and strategic issues, reporting to the AP General counsel (based in Singapore). - Proactively advise the business on statutory compliance requirements under India law, including also ensuring relevant training is provided to the business on areas of compliance priority (for example competition law, consumer law, employment law, anti-bribery/corruption). - Manage a variety of litigation, manage external counsel, and work with subject matter experts within the legal department to align on strategies to resolve litigation matters with business buy-in. - Structure, draft, and assist with the negotiation of major commercial deals (including Tenders- Public & Pvt Sector, End-customer sales, and partner/distribution arrangements). - Review marketing materials/collateral across all media (print, web, radio, social media, etc). - Advise and assist in Lenovo's e-commerce business in India. - Review sales initiatives and provide practical advice. - Develop training materials and provide training to the business on legal areas such as contracts, consumer law, competition law, privacy, and data protection. - Actively manage, develop, and mentor other members of the India legal team. - Put systems and processes into place that enable the business to deal with certain types of legal related matters efficiently and with high volume. - Strong experience in IT/commercial transactions with a background advising on Competition, Tenders, and consumer law. - Experience in intellectual property/competition law/data protection, employment law, with litigation experience preferable. - Previous law firm (mid/top-tier) and/or multinational technology company in-house legal experience. - Effective and adaptable communication skills, including excellent written and spoken English. - Strong analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills. - Demonstrated business/commercial acumen and genuine interest in the IT technology industry. - Ability to manage multiple projects/stakeholders simultaneously within timelines. - Able to thrive in an environment where no day is the same, with business groups who are nimble and innovative and helping the business balance risk with reward to ensure an optimum outcome.
