BU Overview
Business Analytics & Research (BA&R), a part of FMR India, is a consulting and insights team that enables business leaders at Fidelity Investments to make informed decisions. The team uses a combination of business & investment research, advanced analytics and decision sciences to solve business problems at the operational, tactical and strategic level. The group has a high focus on leveraging big data and technology to facilitate critical decisions, and is in the process of setting-up a first of its kind big data lab in India. The group houses top talent, with over three-fourths of the associates having a post graduate degree or PhD. The group provides a unique exposure to the financial services industry spanning workplace investing, retail investing, institutional investing, asset management and private equity.
Role Description:
- Provide insights and analyzing trends to help understand customer behavior that impacts marketing decisions in PWI, Fidelity
- Required to work on projects such as opportunity assessments, sizing, landscape assessments to provide recommendations tied to business objectives
- Required to perform strategic insights from analytics
- Consult with partners as a solution architect and recommend findings, concerns and ideas if any
- Publish daily, weekly, and monthly reports to all management levels
- Focus on innovation and an ability to operate independently in an environment strongly focused on creating impact for the business
Candidate Description
- Ability to understand the business requirement and convert it to an analytical plan in consultation with US business partners
- Prior experience in data analytics, strategic analysis in areas such as customer relationship management, customer segmentation, marketing etc

- Able to manage day to day work, while directing tactical and strategic operations of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organization and interact/influence/negotiate effectively at all levels of management and peers
- Ability to generate coherent and intelligent frameworks to convey insights
Education and Experience
- MBA or a Masters in Operations Research, Economics, Statistics, Econometrics or Mathematics from leading Indian Universities with an excellent academic record.
- Good knowledge in SAS, SQL and utilities like BRIO,BO,Cognos
- Good knowledge in relational databases, Datamart, MS Access, Excel, Powerpoint
- Familiar in statistical\data mining techniques like regression, logistic regression, cluster and factor analysis
- Candidates having 5 years of relevant experience. Prior experience in financial services industry and managing US clients is preferred.

- Project management skills with an ability to set and maintain priorities
