Role: Merchandiser
Currently we are working on an assignment with one of our clients. The company is market leader in loyalty programs.
Location: Chennai
Designation: Manager
Reporting to: Head Purchase
CTC is 8Lpa (including 12.5% PLVB); exp –5- 6 yrs & onwards
1. Candidates should be from a background where they have handled Corporates directly (B2B), experience in handling general merchandise
2. They should have handled business of close to Rs.60-70 Crs, capability of handling a business of around 100Crs.
Job Role Vision - To develop and maintain catalogues, that ensures 100% procurement on stipulated price and time and to achieve this through excellent vendor negotiations and vendor management.
Job Description: -
Product development & Inventory management:
* Planning product ranges and preparing stock plans in conjunction with procurement team (buyers).
* Maintaining a comprehensive library of appropriate data.(Item master with 1500 live products)
* Planning budgets and presenting sales forecasts for existing and new ranges.
* Interacting with Customer service team ,to quote best possible rates for contests
* Controlling stock levels based on forecasts.
* Analysing every aspect of the best and worst seller and reengineer the client catalogue based on the analysis.
* Effective catalogue management, thus ensuring best sellers at good price points are fully potentialised
* Monitoring slow sellers.
* Taking action to reduce prices or set promotions as required.
* Identifying products and supply difficulties and dealing with them when they occur. (Catalogue managed efficiently to ensure 100% procurement in stipulated time for a monthly procurement of 4 to 5 crores).
Vendor Management:
* To interact and get best possible support in form of pricing and supplies from the 100 odd vendors that company deals with for its estimated purchase of 100 crores.
* To establish and develop minimum 20 preferred vendor base that will support business for pricing to bid effectively for contests
* Effective vendor analysis, before selecting range of products from them.
People Management:
* Managing, supervising and training staff
* Special Requirements for Position
* Experience in Retail industry or online portals in a senior merchandising/category management role with medium and large companies.
* Must possess capability to think through any situation logically and should be able to develop and implement clear and effective solutions.
Qualifications:
* Marketing Post Graduates with reasonably high level of intelligence .
* Experience – Minimum 6-8 years
* CTC Rs. 8Lpa (including 12.5% PLVB)
