Head - Bid Management-India
Skills: Pre-Sales Expirence Required (Description):
* Must have 15 to 18 years IT industry experience Should have hands on experience in pre-sales activities like due diligence, consulting, estimation, sizing, in the application development/support space
* Should have good knowledge in one or more IT area as Software development, COTS, Software delivery management, IT Service delivery management, Networking & Security related technologies
* Should have good understanding and working knowledge on SLA based support delivery models Strong knowledge of MS Office Products Word, Excel, Power point, Vision and Project Self starter and go-getter with good people management skills.
* Good team player with positive attitude. Should have good communication skills to liaise with the customer and cross functional teams
* Should be open to short term travel Added Advantage Good understanding on SDLC & development methodologies .should have good knowledge and understanding on project management aspects viz. sizing, estimation, risk management, issue management, productivity improvements, project monitoring & reporting, change mgmt. etc.
* Managed a least medium size team (50+) application support and/or development projects in Java/J2EE, Oracle or .Net technologies
* Previous experience in managing or working on ERP projects Previous experience in any consulting role Good knowledge and understanding on processes like CMMI, ISO, ITIL Strong commercial and financial skills Good presentation skills MBA Desirable Experience in ERP packages
Roles & Responsibility
Manage bid/ proposal development for large turnkey projects involving multiple LOB & practices of the company.
Take complete ownership of the presales activities: prospect to conversion to customer
Understand customer requirement articulated in RFP/ Tender or through customer surveys & interviews Build overall solution architecture engaging appropriate company practices as well as external technology partners Select third party solutions required to build proposal with appropriate due diligence Interact with company Practices and Business Finance team for effort and risk assessment and build pricing for these bids.
Liaise with the Legal team to work out contract aspects Lead team/ Build detailed proposal addressing customer requirements Participate in proposal presentations & sales process Create and maintain repository of reusable documents, case studies and supporting material
This position will report to VP-Sales who is Number 2 in Organization. From visibility stand point this is a very good role.
