My client is an established market intelligence, risk and sourcing research business headquartered in the US and having research and analysis centers in India, China, Argentina, Brazil, Russia.
They cater to a large number of global clients, including nearly 60 of the Fortune 500 companies. The team is now almost 200 strong research and analysis staff across the offices, growing at a 50% YOY rate.
This business is aiming to reach about 10 mn USD in size by the end of the year and grow to almost 1000 staff in the next 3 years. My client is looking for a Vice President – Domains.
What does this role do?
- Ensures knowledge is managed productively within the organization.
- Set up processes so domain leads understand how to work.
- Setting up scorecards to measure output.
- Discover and introduce new research tools, research techniques, forecasting algorithms into the business.
- Responsible for managing the IT systems to manage the knowledge generated in each domain.
- Set up a process to link it to clients, achieving quicker delivery times.
- Role involves national and international travel.
- Reports to the CEO
What you have done now:
- Part of a procurement services organization
- Sound understanding of procurement activities and supplier behavior
- Leading or managing a team of research analysts
- Ability to understand and forecast client needs
- Strong academic background with at least 5-8 yrs of experience in a knowledge based organization.
