Job Title Manager, Corporate Sustainability Purpose of the Department
HSBC Technology and Services (HTS) is a pivotal part of the Group and seamlessly integrates technology and operations. Global Service Delivery is an integral component of HSBC technology and Services. It anticipates and understands the needs of its customers by offering receptive, responsive and prompt services, which enables the Group to build profitable long-term partnerships with its customers. It offers a seamless proposition through Centres of Excellence (CoE), which are instrumental in providing customer satisfaction by determining the best location and best practice for a process. The CoEs identify cost intensive practices and re-engineer them to create a winning customer service proposition thereby maximising cost efficiencies and driving customer advocacy.
Global Service Delivery operates out of 22 Group Service Centres and 117 Regional and Local Service Centres. It has over 73,000 employees spread over 6 regions across the globe.
Role purpose
The candidate should be able to help develop and implement GSD Corporate Sustainability strategy - Enhance the brand experience through employee engagement, engaging with local communities/NGOs and joining up the organization.
The job holder will be responsible for the implementation of Corporate Sustainability campaigns through effective utilization of communication channels. In addition the job holder will be responsible for content generation and coordinating business wide corporate CS projects.
Job Description
Principal Accountabilities: Key Activities and Decision Making Areas
· Responsible for execution of GSD wide CS initiatives/ campaigns
· Responsible for coordinating CS employee volunteering programmes and corporate projects
· Responsible for content generation and effective utilisation of communication channels for CS (Print, Online and Web )
Actively explore opportunities to showcase GSD’s CS initiatives internally and externally specifically in the Media, through Industry associations, Surveys etc
· Responsible for supporting the line manager to execute GSD wide CS initiatives and campaigns
· Execute an annual calendar of activities. Output rollout to be consistent with established standards, timelines, and requirements.
· Effective interaction with different stakeholders and relationship building and provide support to CS Champions in each location
· Responsible for effective management of the CS intranet
· Responsible for monthly and annual CS publications and reports
· Ensure effective delivery / implementation of planned initiatives, completing deliverables.
· Actively contribute innovative ideas, share best practices and participate in team projects.
· Work closely with CS teams across GSD and create positive working relationships
· Monitor and track CS deliverables
· Ensure message and delivery consistency & adherence to Brand guidelines
· Effective utilization of Communication Channels
· Provide best-in-class services as per agreed SLAs and standards
· Effective cost management
· Work effectively with Group Publishing Services ( Outsourced ) for web & creative development
· Report timely MI - Balance score card, CS metrics and others
· Responsible for knowledge management, generating market intelligence and industry updates for Corporate Sustainability
Skills Required:
· Experience of working with a global NGO or Corporate in a similar role is preferred
· Proven project management, communication experience, experience of execution and monitoring of CS strategies and business plans.
· Proven knowledge of managing Events and Communication Channels ( Print, Web and Online )
· Strong leadership and management skills with the proven ability to work in a highly complex matrix environment with exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills
· Good understanding of the environmental, social and ethical issues which face a large multi-national organization
· Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with Excellent presentation skills
Should be mobile at the time of recruitment and for future projects
Department Corp Comm Academic Qualifications
Highest Qualification:
· A Degree in MA Sociology, Humanities or equivalent.
Years of Experience · Proven experience in a Sustainable Development project management role with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
