The role of the HR Business Partner is to execute the people strategies which support the VMware business objectives and values with a focus on Engineering. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about their work, possess strong interpersonal and project management skills in a cross functional scaling environment.
This individual will already posses solid HR acumen and have worked in the function of Business Partner to a world-wide Engineering organization. This role demands working closely with leadership and staff to execute HR initiatives, and services to meet VMware business objectives. The selected individual will be able to formalize and streamline current internal processes, build internal business partnerships, project manages the day to day HR function, and coach managers as it pertains to their business needs. This position requires understanding federal and state HR related regulations and compliance procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Project based work around organizational development, compensation, program rollout, and reporting
- Coach all levels of Managers through people related issues as well as formal VMware processes
- Help implement programs which foster sound employee relations and increase employee engagement
- Provide support to deliver company-wide initiatives such as goal setting and year end performance reviews
- Partner with other HR functions and internal resources to execute corporate wide HR initiatives and client specific programs
Background/Experien ce:
- Graduate / Post Graduate (preferably in HR) with 4-7 years of relevant experience, including direct client support and process execution
- Prior experience with a technology company required
- Demonstrated competence in the various HR functional areas: employee relations; consulting/coaching
- Must have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Thrives in an unstructured environment and requires minimal supervision
