Position: SAP Capability Leader

Company: Leading IT Services firm

Designation: GM/VP

Location: Bangalore, Noida

Years of experience: 12 years plus for GM, 15 plus for VP

Salary: Competitive


Role: The SAP Capability Leaders (CL) are responsible for
building competencies in SAP technologies, innovation and
delivery excellence with a capability. Each capability consists
of experienced leaders and SAP professionals who need to be
involved in formulating capability specific competitive
differentiators and (where required) across other capabilities.


Roles are responsibility

- Sales / Pre-sales Support

The CL is will provide offshore sales and pre-sales support by
participating in sales activities and formulating winning
strategies in response to RFIs and RFPs. They are also expected
to take part in client presentations, demos and customers visits
delivery centers.

- Delivery Support

The CLs add value to SAP customers by assisting in project
kick-offs, building innovative delivery models and supporting
delivery excellence with the help of tools, accelerators,
methodologies and solution templates.

- Capability Development

The CL is responsible for capability development of the SAP
associates through ongoing training (internal and external),
knowledge sharing and mentoring sessions. This will be in line
with the demand of the business.

The CL will sign of the recruitment process and resourcing
process – recruitment and resourcing will facilitate the
process and the CL need to take full ownership of recruitment and
resourcing of resources within their capability. As part of
capability development, the CL will enhance the content of the KM
portal with case studies, proposals, methodologies, training,
reference material etc.

- Innovation and Centers of Excellence

The CL will develop solution offerings and IP within their
respective capability. Over time, each capability is expected to
grow into full fledged Centers of Excellence (COE) which can then
showcase unique products/solution to prospects and customers.

- Knowledge and Self Development

The CL ensures that capability members are keep up to date with
latest developments in their areas of expertise by participating
in thought leadership conferences, subject matter conclaves,
online forums like SDN and events.

Ideal Profile

- The candidate will currently be a Senior Person in an
organization that has a large SAP consultancy practice.

- He / She needs to have excellent communication skills and
must have demonstrated the ability to develop and manage a team
of not less than 50 – 80 consultants.

- The individuals must also demonstrate very strong working
knowledge of their respective capability areas – they may
not necessarily be hands on but must demonstrate that they are
abreast of developments in their respective capability area.
